Exacting Craftsmanship

Ardnkem is an independent womenswear label. Every piece is designed here and made in Lagos, Nigeria, cut from metallic jacquards and brocades sourced from the fabric markets there. We produce in Nigeria on purpose. Not because it costs less because where a thing is made is part of what it means, and the skill is there. The construction, the beading, the finishing: all of it happens in Lagos, by people who have been doing this work far longer than this brand has existed. The Pre-Order Philosophy

Ardnkem runs on a pre-order model, and we'd rather explain that plainly than bury it. When you place a pre-order, your order funds the production run. That is how an independent brand with no outside investment makes things properly in small, controlled quantities, without guessing at demand and without producing hundreds of pieces that nobody asked for. The founding collection is thirty-one pieces. Total, across both dresses. When they are gone, the next drop won't be for a while. Your piece ships by September 26. If anything about that date changes, you will hear it from me before the date not after.
